Braindinx Team Tim Scheer

In our second trainee interview, you have the opportunity to get to know Tim Scheer a little better. You can find more information about the entire braindinx GmbH team here . Enjoy reading!

Who are you and what are you doing?

I am Tim Scheer, I am 17 years old and I am just starting out as an apprentice in digital and print media design.

How did you find out about the training at braindinx GmbH?

After my student internship in the 9th grade, I was invited by the agency because of my skills and motivation to apply for the training position.

Why did you choose this apprenticeship?

During my 3-week student internship I was able to learn a lot about the company and also about the work / tasks of the media designer in digital and print. I was allowed to participate in many projects, had a lot of fun, learned a lot and thus got a positive impression of the agency life.

How long does the training last and how are practice and theory linked?

The dual training takes 3 years. So I will visit both the company and the vocational college for design and technology in Aachen. In the agency, we actually adapt to the teaching of the vocational college. For example, if we deal with typography in class, I will be assigned corresponding projects in the agency.

What qualities do you have to have for your job?

On the one hand, you have to create an individual design for each customer, up to a certain point in time and for each new customer. This requires creativity and also perseverance and punctuality.

What do you expect from the next weeks and months as an apprentice?

Although I have been working at the agency for over a year now, I am very excited to see how it will work with the combination of “agency and vocational school”. Nevertheless, I hope that I will find my way around quickly and without stress.

What will a typical working day look like for you?

Thanks to the flexitime model, I can allocate my working hours very flexibly. So I will probably show up for work between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. Depending on whether my colleagues are already present, we will first gather together for the briefing. If not, I will do my tasks that I could not finish the day before. And otherwise I’ll just do what needs to be done … what projects are due, what appointments, phone calls etc.

Do you have any wishes or special goals for your training?

I hope that I can get along well with my classmates, work colleagues and customers and that I can easily get through the exams during my training. At best, I would be taken on after training as a permanent employee at braindinx 🙂

Thank you for the interview Tim Scheer!
